Caitlin Joy Olson

I'd like to welcome the newest addition to our family; Caitlin Joy.  Caitlin is an Irish name and it means "pure".  She truly will bring "pure joy" to our household in the years to come.  God is so good to give us the desires of our heart.  I want to thank Him for the safe & heathly arrival of our daughter.

The S. Family

Here's a selection of some of the family pictures I recently took for the S. Family.  It's so good of them to be patient with me and let me practice on them.  I hope there's a few that they like! =)  I thought they looked pretty good - it helps that they are such a nice-looking family.  Hopefully I edited them in a way that fits their taste.  =)

Once again, I wasn't sure we spent enough time doing this photo shoot but I guess we spent enough time to get some good shots so that's what counts.

Adam & Nettie

Here's a few pics I took of my brother-in-law & and his wife.

There isn't lots of variety here because we only did one pose - they really only wanted one photo so hopefully there's one here they'll like.  I couldn't choose which one was my favourite so I just posted them all! =)

Riasa & Ethan

Here's some pics of Riasa & Ethan - two beautiful kids.  These pictures were taken in less than 10 minutes....  With a few edits, I didn't think they turned out too bad.  Enjoy!

Riasa wanted me to take her picture in this tree.  Those shots actually ended up being my favorite - guess it goes to show that we should let the kids have fun posing how & where they want and we might actually get a real smile.  =)

Daniel & Myriam

My first wedding.... wow! What a job... and what an honor! I really enjoyed doing this more than I thought I would.  I did feel a little overwhelmed and definitely learned from the experience - a few things I should have done and a few things I shouldn't have done.  I'm also realizing that each time you dive into something bigger than you are ready for, it truly shows you where you're lacking and helps you realize that there's still a LOT to be learned.  But... what other way can you learn what you need to know other than hands-on experience (good & bad)?  I am happy with some of the pictures I got at this wedding (which I'm VERY thankful for... I hoped I would get at least a couple of good pictures!).  I have a lot of work to do editing them (I took 992 pictures so I need to majorly sift through what I have, keep only the best, and then do some tweaking to give them a special touch of professionalness - is that a word?).  Here are a few that I started with.... these aren't necessarily the pictures I consider to be the "best" from the lot (some of them may be) - I just randomly started with the pictures I took of the couple after the ceremony.  Wish me luck as I sift through and edit the rest.  I really think that is the second crucial part of being a good photographer (after you've taken some awesome pictures of course).  =)  Thanks again for stopping by!
